The Juventus Football Club, commonly known as Juventus or Juventus of Turin in french, even Juve, is an Italian football club based in Turin founded in 1897 and now coached by Claudio Ranieri. It plays in Serie A (1st division) of the Italian football championship. The team and all its categories train on the grounds of the sports centre Juventus Center in Vinovo, commune of Piedmont 13 425 inhabitants located 14 km from Turin.

The name of the team (in Piedmont) comes from the latin name Iuventus (youth in french) and was chosen - as explained in the section on the history of Juventus - by the founders of the club, who were young Students Turin.

In July, Juventus is finally demoted to Serie B with a penalty of 17points. His championship titles in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons are cancelled, the title of the season was finally awarded to Inter Milan. Didier Deschamps has been appointed coach of Juventus shortly before the decision.

Following the verdict by the Court arbitration Italian (Arbitrato Coni) on the night of October 27, 2006, Juventus saw its penalty of 17 points boil down to -9 points. The classification of the Italian Series B (like the serie A), is therefore renewed. The SS Lazio was penalized by 3 points, AC Fiorentina on 15 points, AC Milan 8 points for the championship Series A 2006-2007.
